| Hi there, I'd like to contribute with additional info about les victoires de la musique. it's gonna be broadcasted on france2, and here's a link to the info: http://www.france2.fr/semiStatic/61-138-NIL-NIL.html (in french), i couldn't figure out the direct link to the page itself, so you have to click on "les 17è victoires de la musique" to get the pop-up :) I hope this info is relevant, /Lily- - 3027 |
| Hi, this is the first time i try to write a gig report... Last saturday, some lucky people were at the zenith for the Victoires de la musique in Paris and i was one of them. it was a very strange feeling to come in this place where i saw Björk for the first time 4 years ago. This time it was not only to see her but also other artists, frech. But i hope to see her sitting with us. The day before, she were at the centre pompidou for the concert of matthew herbert (under the name of radioboy) and matmos. Sitting with the public, she had a white dress and some flowers for matmos. The show run at 9pm and close at 1am. It was very long to wait for her. During 4 hours, lots of singers came to sing one song. Between each show were given some "victoires de la musique" to different kinds of artists. Looking around, i try to see if she were with us. But nobody there. After more than 3 hours, i saw a harp coming on stage. Then a big table with computers and some microphones, exactly the way they were last summer for the shows. And then coming from the dark, a white figure with lot of others is coming right to the stage. The presenter introduce her but i can't hear him. Sounds began. Everybody were quiet. A new orchestration of electronic sounds were add to the version of "it's not up to you". After singing, she walked into the dark, and nobody saw her after. she's gone. /dtr - 3026 |
