I live in Harlem and was lucky enough to get a ticket for this gig on the day of the gig. Go go craig's list! Anyways, this was my first Bjork concert and it was heaven! Bjork's voice, of course, was fantastic. The play list (as well as the crowd) was very diverse. I was really surprised at how small the Apollo is. However, the size of the venue definitely made the concert feel very intimate. I loved it! (By the way -poeticaesthetix - shady scalpers are not confined to the boundaries of Harlem. Erase the hate!)

her gig at the appollo was the most amazing concert i have seen in 30 years. the venue, the crowd, the artist. i know some folks glaze over when i talk about bjork, as i do when someone raves about string cheese incident! but at those concerts, you will not find what you saw at the Apollo in terms of eclectic fan base: gay, straight, latinos, african-americans, housewives, tuffs, all singing back. it was mad, totally mad.

I can definitely say without a doubt that this concert was the most wonderful experience of my life. The energy was so electric and the performance itself was almost like watching theatre! She was so physical and animated and not to mention competely dedicated to giving 110% of herself to each song. Her devotion and performance really reflected her passion for music and self-expression. The Brass women were excellent and truly excited as well, and the programming and beats meshed up very well.

The set-list was beautiful, and it was also great to hear songs from all albums! few artists do that these days. I bawled my eyes out during All is Full of Love (but in a joyful way) and jumped around and threw out my arms like a mad woman during Pluto.

For the first time in my life, i truly felt like i was living only in the exact moments of time. it was like the only universe i knew was the music and the blood pumping through my veins and the goosebumps on my skin.

When it ended, i wanted it to last forever, so now i just find myself holding on to every image and sound in my mind, replaying them over and over. I hope that this will only be the first of many more concerts i attend!

So in other words, this performance was AMAZING and i cannot think of any flaw (except for security constantly shining flashlights in people's faces to check for cellphones or cameras. i can understand enforcing rules, but it was a bit annoying)

How can a person put into words what I just lived. First Row Center at the smallest venue she's played in years. This was truly the most remarkable concert experience I've ever had, and I have been going to concerts since I was 14 years old--in 1977!
Its impossible to be objective about the performance, since it felt like my own personal show. Suffice to say, its truly surreal to actually hear her project her voice and not need amplification to hear it, to see every little facial expression, to see the intense concentration of her performing, and to witness the interaction among the players. To have such a remarkable once-in-a-lifetime intimate concert experience is truly a gift and I'm so extremely thankful to the bjork.com presale that made the ticket available and of course to Bjork herself. Wave your flag!

words can't explain how special this show was. it was excellent. by far the best of the New York shows..in my opinion.

i was extremely surprised how small this theater is. i read up on this and seen pictures, but i was in total shock. i was front row center, so of course i was very, very excited! i've been front row for her shows before, but this was such a small theater that is was so much more intimate.

even though the Apollo was VERY strict on not taking photos/video and it amost seemed impossible for me to take photos/video....i was able to take some really amazing photos! and just a couple videos. i was asked not to take them several times but i just couldn't get over how close and amazing this show was..i just kept sneaking photos! i had to. i also was able to grab a setlist before i left the front. 18 songs...and Hyperballad was in there!! i was hoping she would play this. And the extended end to Hyperballad was pure heaven.

this show was amazing and i hope everyone who was lucky enough to be there tonight, really feels very lucky to have been apart of this show.

hope everyone had a blast at the New York shows! i know i did.

Yes, totally wonderful show. Björk was in such a goofy powerful energetic mood; making funny faces a the crowd, being really over the top.

Best part of the night for me:

At the end of pluto where the final shout comes in bjork screamed something, some sentence (was it "for the last time!!!" ) and then when she went into her headbanging she totally knocked over the microphone stand and the mic and just kept on pounding her head and jumping around. Then when it was over picked up the mic from the floor and said "thank you goodnight!"

she was so awesome this evening and the venue was Perfect!

gosh. this was the best of the three new york shows. indescribable. if i am able to tell from watching and hearing her, björk had the best time tonight; and she seemed to really respond to the enthusiasm of the crowd. i think we were the most thrilled tonight, at the apollo. it was much more intimate, and suited we björk fans the best. like mada said, she mixed all the best stuff and every song was better this time around. antony was incredible as always, and min-xiao fen just blows my mind. i yelled out jónas's name... i wonder if he heard me? i was in the front...

it makes me very sad anyone could rip someone off for this show. i'm sorry to all who had such an experience. i hope every björk fan gets a chance to see her -- it is the kind of experience words really cannot describe.

i saw Radio City last week and had seats in the first mezzanine which sounded great but turned out to be under an overhang and really muffled the sound. So i decided to go up to the Apollo show and try to grab a ticket outside. Obviously, there were several shady scalpers up there, being Harlem and all. I dodged all of them but then i was approached by a young cute girl with an accent who seemed like she got in a fight with her date or something...and she offered me her ticket for face value. EXCITED, i bought it from her for 100 dollars and when i got to the door...i was told it was counterfeit.

She was ripped off, and then had ZERO problem ripping off another fan. its really upsetting that people would do that.

What a beautiful show! She made me cry and made me dance and by declare independance I had lost my mind.
Truly a priveledge to see Bjork in such a legendary venue as the apollo. I saw Lady Miss Kier from Deee-Lite in the audience.
AMAZING!

I would have to say that this concert topped last week's Radio City show. It mixed some of the best performances of songs from that show and the United Palace show. I loved the new mixing up of the beginning, with Cover Me performed behind a curtain, which is a very clever notion. Venus As A Boy was more "on" this week than at Radio City, with Immature to follow, much like at the United Palace show. Seeing and hearing Aurora again was a complete blessing. The guest list was ever satisfying; Antony and Min-Xiao Fen did spectacular jobs tonight. The house was, as expected, rocked during the final songs of the show; it had everyone dancing and boogying. All the songs that I could dance to saw Bjork as much more energetic this time around. The combination of Hyperballad [with Rave remix] and Pluto caused the crowd to explode their body off them, and with Pluto, "for the last time, AAAAAAHHHHHHH!" It was a wonderful and definitely more intimate show that I will always remember. It was interesting how Oceania snuck into the encore this time, and as for the final song, even some of the Ushers were screaming their declaration of independence.
