Hi

Are we condemned, in France, to see Björk in places more suitable to sports events (Bercy in 2003, Nimes Arena in 2007) than to music ?

"..I've had this craving to do this for so long and I felt so many times, when I did those big rock arenas, that ... I mean ... I'm probably exagerating this ... that 60 - 70% of what we were giving out was just lost in some sort of rock cliché, or something, ... that all the sensitivities were bulldozed over, ...and since I'm a sort of listener... that these are exactly the sensitivities that renew me and make me walk home from a gig, ... and I'm fulfilled..." (Björk in Minuscule)

I couldn't have put the problem into more acurate words. I wish Björk could keep to her ideas for more than some months. I would certainly have enjoyed much more the brass ensemble.
But how many of those thousands of brain- and heartless soccer-supporter-like or weak-minded kind of preacher-devotee (sorry) fans of Björk care actually ? Unfortunatly, few, I guess.

The spectacle was good anyway and Björk was literally exploding with energy. Special good mention to these two songs from Medula, with only harpsichord (?) accompanying her voice.
And enjoyable moment of birthday celebration, though not an ideal astrological configuration on this 23 August. But who knows ? Til hamingju til hennar !
