The concert was amazing and the Arena is wonderfull but it was so short.. I love you Bjork! /tsingtao - 4062
I spent the day sightseeing around beautiful Verona, and climbed the many stairs to Castel San Pietro and spent the afternoon there, enjoying the beautiful view. As I made my way back towards town, stopping here and there, my heart skipped a beat when I heard first Pagan Poetry and then Joga echoing from inside the Arena, thinking I was perhaps late for the concert. It was a wonderful bonus to be able to hear those last minute sound checks. The Arena was the perfect venue, such a sense of connection to history. The atmosphere was festival rock concert: reminded me a bit of a Grateful Dead gig I saw back in '92. For me anyways it was a very emotional concert: Pagan Poetry was very moving, the opening bars to All is Full of Love had me in tears, and I really felt Joga like never before. Vertebrae by Vertebrae was mindblowing, with the incredible booming bass and reddish lights with the pink limestone backdrop. I loved Cover Me, laughter and amazement. And Hyperballad/Pluto had the crowd going nuts. As did the encore, a very interesting and emotional version of Declare Independence. I just wish I had the ability of concert total recall. In a sense the concert is like a train rolling by as you stand in front of it. If you cross your eyes the right way you get a sense of vertigo, that it is you and not the train that is moving. But it goes by, and I wish I could reach into a concert and hold onto it forever. It is like waking up from a dream, and feeling it vanish soon afterwards. No camera can do justice to the intensity of this concert, so I will try to hold onto the fragments in my memory, and listen to the songs on my stereo to try and recreate in my mind that amazing evening in Verona. /banjojoe - 4056

ehi lelegessi, è il mio stesso elenco di concerti visti! thanks for everything. it's all happening! /tintu - 4038
4th concert for me as well 2001, 2003, 2007 (same tour), and this one. i must agree... not the greatest concert ever. being this a dance concert the place did not help, so the crowd and musicians where not as energetic as they where in 2007 for example. however the hyperballad, wanderlust, army of me, hunter, arrangements are absolutely fabulous! thank you for a great evening! ps. lunargirl, thank you for the set list! /sod4602 - 4034
after verona 2003 after villa manin 2007 after verona 2008 thank you again bjork! /lelegessi - 4033
This was for me was the 4. gig of the volta tour, and.... even if the Arena di Verona is not a good place for a concert like that, because of the security team that didn't want let us dance and stand up of the seats and the audio was not so "perfect", it has been amazing. The emotion was so strong, that now, this 2 "problems" have no more sense! From Hunter to Immature I was crying like a baby.... and i didn't expect it! for me the best songs of that evening: Vertebrae by vertebrae, pagan poetry, COVER ME (absolutely strong, delicated, mysterious, emotional)! /greenice - 4032
Words, words, words. As many as you like, that concert was everything good one could say of. BUT MY SEAT SUCKED! (kidding, it was fine and quiet) /veklingur - 4031
when i arrived in verona after a long trip from naples, out of the station there was a big poster of the concert, i was so happy because it seemed that bjork was waiting for me:))) i did a little touristic ride in the city but suddenly i heared some music in the air, i was thinking that maybe i was too tired by the trip so that sound was an hallucination...but it wasn't , that sound was the pagan poetry beat:OMG!!!PAGAN POETRY!!! I immediately went to the arena, they were doing the sound check, i was hypnotised by that deep beat...what an emotion!!i already got the creeps!!! At nine o' clock the show begins and... surprise: no supporting band:( Immediately Bjork seems very happy and energetic and i was very happy too because usually she is a little bit cold at the beginning of the shows. All is full of love,Pagan Poetry and Joga were wonderful...Joga was incredible, with the brass is much more deep <3 The most funny part of the concert was Cover Me, bjork that walks like a kitten on the stage was amazing, i love her! Thank you for your great show, i hope to see you one day in south Italy for a concert...in winter ;D /vincovinco - 4029

wonderful!!! so much better than the greatest hits tour in the same location back in 2003... one great, unforgettable party from army of me until the end: pluto was irresistible! and army of me, i miss you... hyperballad seemed an outer space song, brilliant... then i decided to declare MY independence because of the final... a night to remember. thank you. with undying appreciation /blackout - 4026
The concert was amazing, although it was so short, only one hour and a half. But it was very intense! Her voice was very good, especially in "The Anchor Song" where it was perfect even though it was towards the end of the show. That performance moved me to tears, it was like listening to the song for the first time. Kudos alo to Jonas, his contribution to "Cover Me" was an improvement from last year in Amsterdam I think, and the Wonderbrass' rendition of "Overture" was flawless! The acoustics inside the Arena was indeed mindblowing, not to mention the whole view. I "sat" (more like, danced) in the back, but I had a great perspective over all the arena. It was strange to see laser beams in such an ancient place! All in all, a truly wonderful experience, I went home with such a incredible high, I felt happy and wasted as if after a one hour and a half orgasm. /stingo - 4023
