| Uma experiência quase religiosa!Para começar, aquele traje inspirado nos indígenas tupinambás do século XVI era realmente espetacular e transportáva-nos diretamente para as gravuras desta época ( isso explica seu corte de cabelo à curumim!). O som estava excelente apesar das condições do local. A pirotecnia com as imagens inseridas no momento certo, inesquecível! | It was the most amazing gig I've ever been to!! Seeing her so near was really thrilling! It was worth waiting 4 hours sitting next to the barriers to keep a great place! She was brilliant! What an energy she has! Her voice was amazingly powerfull. "Unravel", "Hyper-ballad", "Human Behaviour", "Jóga", "It's in our hands" and "Pluto" were just unforgettable! It was really the most incredible performance I've ever seen, with all those beautifull videos and fireworks effects! :) The Icelandic String Octet, Matmos, Zeena and Leila were also great! L-o-L! she was absolutely terrific on stage although she didn't talked much. | There's not much more to say about the concert, because everybody said what I wanted to: it was one of the best concerts I've ever seen in my life ( the other one being sigur rós... eh eh something about iceland no??). Our little icelandic fairy was just sublime in the way she managed to sing and dance while capturing our souls into her own special and magical world:) And that's why I love bjork: her songs are absolutely marvellous, but what really excites me is that you never know what's 'about to happen'; she always changes everything about her and the songs. The new songs like 'where is the line' and the beautiful rendition of pagan poetry, it's in our hands and the most unexpected pluto ( thank you for this one, I LOVE IT) really could be enough for the concert to be wonderful. But 'there is more to ( Bjork) then this', and she just nailed the most beautiful, heart-felt performance I've seen in a long time:) I used to love Leila, a bit more than I did Bjork, and I still think that Leila did a great job with some of the songs...is she a Goddess or what?? ; but now that I've seen Bjork and Leila together... my world can only crumble down lol. It was amazing the difference leila makes when she touches a song:) I love her! Zeena Parkins was also excelent ( as usual ), and Matmos didn't fall short on attitude:)) All the strings players contributed to the magical feeling of the evening. I really really hope that Bjork enjoyed the concert so much that she will come again to Portugal soon... if I have to wait another 7 years for her to come I think I'll kill myself. It's bad enough not being able to see Tori Amos or Mila Mar in Portugal...but don't you fail on us Bjork!! It was a special evening, I had so much fun with some of my best friends, and Bjork was the best. After her performance, only Dj Marky and those wonderful kick-ass-german-french-pseudo-intelectual-gorgeous guys from Hot Hat were able to make me forget for a moment about her beautiful voice and spirit. | She was great. That would be great, even if it wasn't... because that was the first time I saw Bjork live. I was too much emocionated... | What a fabulous show it was! It was completely worth to wait four hours and a half sitting/standing/glued to the barriers, cause I couldn't possibly afford to lose my place to see the Diva!!!! Even if I had to support the lousy sound from "Spaceboys" (they have the soundtrack of all my nightmares lol) I just had to cope with all that, cause I knew it was going to be worth it! After the "Spaceboys" show, the staff started to clear up the set and I started singing to myself: I can sense it something important it's about to happen!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just could believe that it was going to be it! A few moments from then would I really see the Diva? Hear the Diva sing live?!?!?!?! STATE OF EMERGENCY!!!!!!!!!!! Here she comes, beautifully dressed, whit those feathers on her head that I adore (looks cute!) singing her heart out with that amazing voice of hers! It didn't really matter to me which songs she would sing, I just travelled about 300 miles just to see her and hear her strong, soft, smooth and amazingly ultra-human voice... Song after song after song and I still wanted more! She sings, dances, jumps, runs... She's just umbelievable! But so real! (There's definately no logic, Sander, you were right! When she sang that it was funny. lol) Loved all the songs, loved the mood, the magic of the show! And all of that because it was Björk! Look... no further! And OBRIGADOOOOO Björk!!!!!! | i can believe that björk was here last night. i saw her in london (roh) 2001 and i didn't expect anything from the concert. i knew it was going to be different, but not as different as it was. Over the first sings i was completly speechless. I loved how she started with Vísur Vatnsenda Rósu and You've been flirting Again. It was perfect. Tehn isobel and hunter did not surprise me that much. The first thing that i really adored was unravel. she sung it so terribly well, with the video right behind her. such a beautiful video. joga and hypperballad, pluto and human behaviour and their firework effects were just amazing everyone was awwwwwwwwwwwwwww........... i think that the public was more polite than the english one (not trying to offend). and also the way she said "obrrigadu". lindo. i loved it. i hope to see björk very soon again. this next time with my father... i guess björk will want to come back soon. | I'm still in complete disbelief of what I witnessed last night. It just seems to good to be true. But it did happen and was the best concert of my entire life. Now I believe that Björk really exists. I know it might sound silly, because I'd already seen her live 7 years ago but this time I was so damn near (like 6m).She really is the greatest living artist on earth and last night was only a hint of that. But what a hint. The festival could be called björk.hype@meco... everyone was there to watch Björk, even when Moby was listed as well (and it was quite a good show)... You could see in in the papers. It was her own festival. And she lived up the hype.She lived it up and surpassed it. When we saw the stage coming together... the Matmos computers, the chairs of the Octet and Zeena's harp we started believing it was really going to happen. And when the Icelandic String Octet showed up it was clear... We were about to have the floor taken from beneath us. And after an instrumental rendition of Vísur Vatnsenda Rósu, Matmos and Zeena Parkins entered and after them Björk... The crowd went nuts... I mean really mental... But when she started singing it all went religiously silent to hear the quiet beauty of the Icelandic version of You've been flirting again.The cheering after each music ended was louder than louder. She was wearing a beautiful and colourful blue/green dress and the flower ear accessories which she took of after the few first songs to reveal the retro haircut which suited perfectly to the mood of the concert. The show was made of peaks, both intimist and extrovert, implosive and explosive. From the emotionally piercing Isobel,Unravel, Jóga, Desired Constellation, Bachellorette, All is full of love, Pagan Poetry and Generous Palmstroke to the unbelievable dance and explosive beats of Hunter, Where's the Line, Hyper-ballad, It's in our hands, Pluto and Human Behaviour. It's in Our Hands and Pluto were just unbelievable. The atmosphere was just apotheotic and the crowd moved along with the beats and sounds. After the concert I heard a girl say "Even though she talked very very little she was so so nice". She really was, she didn't need to talk to connect with the crowd... one look and expression was enough.And while she wrapped in emotional exaustion in the most moving songs she dances and smiled and was having a whole lot of fun during the most upbeat ones. It was just a pleasure to watch her entertaining and being entertained by the music and the crowd. I'll never forget this night and I doubt all of those who were there to see it will. Just as i remembered her from 96. Great pyrotechnics and the fireworks above the stage were a very nice effect. Liked the new songs a lot as well, can't wait for Lake... The ending of the first part was explosive, first the remix of It's In Our Hands and to boot, Pluto... everyone jumping around (including her), hands in the air... what a great atmosphere, great mood. | Fabulous night, worth the price of the ticket and the long time waiting to see one my favourite singers. As the most of the people there it was my first Bjork concert and I was completely overwhelmed by each note dropped by the instruments and from the voice of Bjork. The new songs are incredible, especially Nameless, which remimded me a lot of the An echo, a stain feel. Desired Constellation is amazingly beautiful, very minimalist and simple. Where is the line totally grooves :D The videos for some songs are quite amazing, especially the Unravel one and the It´s in our hands. Pluto video is also wonderful, with all the fire going on stage and Bjork reaching upper levels with the auddience dancing and "exploding" with joy. Feel free to come soon and more often Bjork.
