it was very good.... i'm a little spoiled because the last bjork concert had a full orchestra, opposed to an octet. also she had the choir from greenland. I was just thinking what redrocks would have been like if she had the same entourage. i guess it gets to be a little pricey down the line. oh well, you know what they say, it's never as good as the first time. OH! I almost forgot. I want to thank the cute little blonde hippy girl who gave me the ticket in the parking lot for the NY show. I was the black guy with the black cowboy hat. Sorry you couldn't make it.

What can I say???!!! I drove 15 hours from Minneapolis, MN, counting down the minutes until showtime. I can't elaborate any better than what everyone else has already posted, so I won't even try. Simply put--> the show, flawless. Especially more so b/c I proposed to my girlfriend during Joga, and she happily accepted, thank you for the wonderful evening Bjork!

I flew from another country just to this, I would do it every weekend. It was the most powerful experience of my whole life. Unbelieveable. Just a dream and I was part of that. What can I say about Red Rocks? The perfect choice for a Björk's concert.
Thank you, Björk. There are no words...

/bjanx - 1730
*weeps* It was such a beautiful concert. I loved everything about it and I cannot get the beautiful big screen projection imagery out of my head!! Darling Björk, you're definitely one of very few greatest singers alive. I look forward to seeing your spectacular performances sometime in the future. Well done. :)

I would just like to apologise for my previous remarks. I was in a greedy state of mind and thank you all for not e-mailing me. By the way, the pictures turned out horrible. Well now for my real review, after the concert has had time to sink in. It was a piece of heaven. It was the most natural high I've ever experienced. I read from a Bjork fan that went to the Boston concert "Bjork is like a drug, take care not to be addicted! Or even better, just be!" I think that sums up what I'm going through now. After I got home to Dallas, everything in the world was not as important as what I experienced that lovely evening. In general, LIFE SUCKED! The world was cruel and hateful and it just wasn't the same without Bjork. It IS the post concert blues that hurt. Now I can't get through the day without listening to Bjork. And my new saying is "If it's not Bjork, it's not worth it!" But this doesn't mean that you shouldn't go to her concerts. By all means, GO! It's the best feeling you'll EVER have. I had friends who took their moms who don't like Bjork, but they were so moved my the atmosphere alone that now they can't live without her. Bjork, if you're reading this, thank you. You've made me more than a true fan. You've actually made me obsessed (i'm NOT gonna do anything rash. i'm perfectly sane. PROMISE!). But i love you and you make life worth living. Thank you for all you've done and yet to do. By the way, I'm a singer and I have friends that want to be in the Icelandic string quartet so maybe we'll run into each other in the music business. I go to Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Downtown Dallas, TX. You should consider having a concert at the Myerson Symphony Center or somewhere a little closer. Well thanks again for making life worth living.

would just like to say that it was moving to see bjork atop the red, 300,000 year old mountain venue.......i was so anxious to see bjork after listening to that bearded fellow play for an hour......wow! unravel - the lyrics and the emotional landscape pulled the little glowing lights out from my throat and livened me up melancolie........then the raving hyperballad to iioh to - pluto - me head go psshgrrrwhoot!!! thanks for the memories.....and i also made a leetle friend - sharon....xoxo

I saw the rainbow too! I wonder if Bjork saw it? (my keyboard doesn't have correct keys sorry)

Um.... this was the best night of my life so far! The show was spectacular! Bjork was astounding - that voice is even more striking live! I drove ten hours to see her and screamed like a banshee the whole time (yes, everyone it was me). Bjork is a fantastic performer and she had limitless energy! The octet and Matmos and Zeena were also fantastic! All those saying this was a short concert - it was not! Believe me, it felt like five minutes for me too, but she sang 17 SONGS! That's as much as any other live show. I was in the fifth row center and it was sublime! "Hyper-Ballad" especially made me feel so exhilarated, and Bjork ran about smiling as the whole crowd jumped and danced. The only bad part was when she left! She's such an electric presence, when she is gone, there's such a void. I miss her terribly! I've been sighing heavily all week, and my friends are still rolling their eyes at me. Thanks to everyone involved and of course Bjork! It was better than I imagined it would be! I plan on seeing at least three shows in the next tour!

Bjork put on a great show! Red Rocks is beautiful! I drove about 16 hours and this was my only big trip of the summer. I was so excited for the show and the drive there was a great road trip. I had anticipated it to be the perfect show! I know I was seeing Bjork, my favorite musician, perform and nothing else should matter...but much of the audience was really obnoxious! I have been to big shows before and sad to say, this was the worst crowd I have ever seen! I expected so much more from Bjork fans. And this time the crowd spoiled my experience. I was around a bunch of drunks, a few hicks, during quiet moments of the show people yelling on their cell phones "like ohmigod, I am totally at bjork and I am really drunk this is so totally cool!" I guess I was there to see and hear Bjork and just be amazed that she is in the same place as me- this was a big thing for me! I just felt like a lot of the people who were there did not have the same respect for music and BJORK as I and many of the other Bjork fans who were also there do. I am also a Bonnie Prince Billy fan and I was very excited for him. I know a lot of people thought that he was an innappropriate opener, but this probably was a big deal for him...opening for Bjork. A lot of people around me had no idea who he was and were asking everybody "Who the hell is this guy?" They were pretty ignorant and did not realize that he does have talent. BUT......aside from that it was a great show!! I love Bjork and will hopefully see her again someday. I know that there were a lot of true Bjork fans at the show, but for everybody else, next time she plays don't waste your money on a ticket so you can go get drunk and be obnoxious, save the seats for the people who really want to see her perform! please..........

/Princessporkchop - 1398
the show?... [words really can't describe it, or the feelings it created]. I waited a long time to finally see bjork & it was SO much more than I ever thought it could be. Also, the fact that two friends, whom I care for more than they know, came with me [austin/houston drive] made it that much more meaningful and beautiful. I can't thank them enough! [THANK YOU]
I also want to say hello to the friends I made [Jamie & friends / Sarah & friend]; you are all some of the most beautiful people I have had the complete pleasure of sharing this experience with! please keep in touch [especially you popeye =) ].

lastly, thank you Colorado for a beautiful four day vacation & THANK you Bjork for the most wonderful experience ever! take care all.

ps-hope you love jamie's butterfly!

An addition: one thing that I noticed was that some criticized Björk for a short concert. My friend suggested that when a group plays at such a high altitude such as Red Rocks, they often become winded. I was surprised she kept dancing and had all that energy the whole time. I mean, at her age, how does she do that and not show fatigue, particularly after having a second child last year! And to do that from Europe, to Asia, then the western US, before running home to the NE US.

Another thought: the Red Rocks crowd was much more polite than I read the LA crowd was to Bonnie Prince Billy. From what I could tell, the mean people in LA (if not here or other places) was most unfortunate.

Sure wish I was in NYC for the Sigur Ros and Björk concert!!!!! We needed a second encore in Red Rocks!

Thanks - Dean (huskies1000@hotmail.com)

From my first uninterpreted view of her I was overwhelmed. Waves of wonder and joy brought me up to a state of emergency that had nothing to do with danger. I was emerging from the stagnant youth of distant culture into the bright realization that these sounds which I’ve lived by for years all came from a person standing but 12 rows in front of me. She sustained this fresh world moment while I played in the snow. Crisp electric sounds merged with the familiar beauty of her voice as I breathed the bristling happiness, the common contents of our lungs. I tried so hard to hold my eyes on the source of this brilliance but I was soon overcome by the need to dance! I moved with thousands of people as she lead us from silence to elation. We were drawn together as witnesses to happenings, memories the only recording allowed. I'm grateful for the opportunity to have shared time with the man who gave away his heart as well as two pilgrims committed to awesome living.

It was the perfect conclusion to the last summer before grade-school friends settle in scattered cities. She sang away the last of my angst. The most amazing dance party ever conceived!

Thank you Bjork!
In my dreams I am your intern.

the most beautiful music to ever blast into my ears and beat beat beat my quickened heart!
my boyfriend, a friend, and I drove from the seattle area just to see bjork play red rocks. this was a weekend trip mind you (directly to the concert and directly home to work and baby) ... but worth it. i think my boyfriend and i might drive across the country to witness a bjork show. although, I hope that Bjork will, in the future, choose to play more shows on the west coast of the US.
scatterheart was the song i was most hoping to hear. she sang it and it was wonderful. stopped my breathing.
i was not expecting generous palmstroke but oh oh oh!
every song was huge emotion, bliss, excitement.
a few days later, after a 20 hour drive across the western us and i am still dizzy with excitement!
cheers to the strings and harp. so beautiful, clear, and precisely matching the passion of the vocals.
matmos rocked harder than anyone has ever rocked before.
it was a huge venue with stadium seats, but with music so full of life - how could one not be drawn in, caressed, and satisfied?!
Thanks and much love (ever so much love) to Bjork, Zeena, Matmos, and the Icelandic String Octet.

When my friend Angela (who is as big of a Bjork fan as I) called me back in May, telling me that Bjork was doing a US tour, we decided we were gonna go no matter where we had to travel. And we knew she would be coming nowhere close to our town of Oklahoma City. We planned on seeing her in Brooklyn, but when we found out she would be in Morrison, we decided to go there instead.

After weeks of saving money and overworking ourselves at our jobs in order to take a 3 day trip, we finally left for Colorado. The drive was 12 hours and the trip was horrible - storms the entire drive, bad experiences all around.

But THEN we got to the show.

The venue was breathtaking. It is a natural ampitheatre on top of a small mountain. The view of the Denver skyline is more than impressive.

When the opening act walked out, I didn't know what to make of him. He was an odd-looking bearded man with peach fuzzy pants straight off the rack at a thrift store. He played what looked like a steel guitar (although I'm not sure at all) and had no backup band. His songs were cool, and he was obviously talented and eccentric, but I thought he didn't fit in too well at a Bjork concert. He probably would have been a better opening act for The Flaming Lips or The White Stripes.

The man played for about an hour, and then!! The show REALLY began.

Bjork's backup musicians were magnificent. They included two men on keyboard/percussion, the Icelandic Octet, and a harpist. They were the first to walk onstage, and I found it funny when the harpist, in a funky white fur coat (or what looked like one from my view), was mistaken by most of the audience for Bjork. FINALLY, the real star walked out, and my GOD did she look beautiful!! Her hair cut rocks, too... I love the half-bowl cut thing she's got going on.

I can't exactly put my finger on how she did it - but it was obvious that everyone in the audience was deeply moved. Bjork was very polite and appreciative, making sure to exclaim "Thank you!" between songs. She provided not only song, but dance as well - that woman has got some energy for a mother of two.

Her show was even a stage show at times - she used pyrotechnics during "Joga" and sparkly tree-type figures on "Human Behaviour". The most awesome and moving performances, in my opinion, were "Hyperballad", "All is Full of Love", and "Pluto". You have not lived until you've seen Bjork do "Pluto" live. :)

Bjork played all of my favorite songs as well as a few I had never heard. Her voice is heavenly. HEAVENLY. It was by far the best show I've ever seen. The experience was like the best high you can get: you can't exactly remember what went on, you don't remember too many specific details - yet you were on cloud nine, floating, happy, peaceful, and at one with everything around you. Few people can have that influence, and Bjork is one of them.

Bjork, if you by any chance read this, thank you so much for what you do for people. Thank you for sharing your exquisite talent with the world.

After listening to Bjork's songs for years in Fargo, ND and not ever having a chance to see her live, all of the love that I ever felt for her music poured out in the form of tears. Standing there in the most beautiful venue in all the world, after driving 1,200 miles alone, her opening song "Unravel" gave me the most intense and emotional feeling I have ever experienced. Bjork, your beautiful music and voice shall grace my mind forever and I thank you.

My boyfriend and I traveled all the way from Bakersfield California to see this particular concert. Him and I had planned this trip for months. We counted the days until the concert, and we could say that this was the best experience of our lives. The atmosphere was so beautiful it almost brought tears to our eyes when she had sung her first song. I can't say much about the Colorado crowd, it was almost as if they were not real Bjork fans. As soon as the concert started we erased them from are minds, and enjoyed a lovely concert. We both wished that she had performed just a little bit longer, it almost seemed as if she had rushed everything. We had traveled such a long way for just a few songs. From what I read from the other concerts she had performed a lot longer. We had picked this concert, because we thought she would indulge in the breath taking atmosphere. Bjork sounded better live then in her albums, and that is pure talent. It seemed that as soon as she got the audience pumped up it ended so soon. Bjork is my favorite singer, and always will be. This concert gave me the motivation to see her again. I just hope it isn't to long away. I wished the Denver fans would have respected her and the lovely aray of instruments a little bit better. I play the violin myself and I know how hard it can be to play for such a big crowd with so few instruments. As soon as Bjork came out everybody stood up, and started yelling. Come on guys have a little class. Bjork if you read this thank you for this experience, it will never be erased from are minds. I envy you!!!!
Thank You for the experience of a life time. We drove thousands of miles to see you, and it was worth it.

First off... I have to confess, I didn't even attend the Red Rocks Show (I went to the Hollywood Bowl show which was spectacular as you've heard). However two people who I hold very dearly to my heart did: Mr. Beau and Mr. Sneex ;) from #bjork. It fills me with joy to know that the both of them had such an amazing time sharing in one another's company and the magic of Bjork. Beau, your review was indeed spectacular and intricately detailed - I felt like I was there. Sneex- short, sweet and to the point :) - equally as entertaining. It makes me feel good to know the both of you had such a wonderful experience together. :D

This show was totally cool. It was my first Bjork concert and my first trip to Red Rocks and Denver. I drove from Minnesota with my partner for the sole purpose of attending. It was completely worth it. I loved it. I didn't know who Bonnie was either until he said so. :/

matmos...ahhhhhhh ya lucky bastards!! we all got to visit planet bjork for a short period, it's the post concert blues that suck!!!

This was more than candy for your eyes and ears, it was escargo with garlic butter, syrian salad, filet mingon medium rare, grey goose martini slightly dirty, and a big slice of death by chocolate with whipped cream and a cherry on top! Well worth the 12 hour drive. Well worth the 22 year wait (my first but not last Bjork concert). Thank You Bjork!

Show was great! Front row! want to say hello to all that got there before 8:30 am(cockblockers!), the wait wasn't that bad, it actually went quick and definetly the best decision I've made in a long time. This is third time I've seen her, Sugercubes opening for U2 ("Birthday" started this whole thing for me), Chicago 2001, Incredible show, much longer it seemed with a change of clothes. This show was full of energy, "In Our Hands" was much diferent than the first time I heard it, I think it was one of the best songs I've ever heard by her, I only wish there was a recording of it. And for all who won't be able to hear it or if she didn't play it at the show you attended, I offer my sypathies, try not to think about it. THANKS BJORK!!!!! Please come to Kansas City, to a small venue, mabye 50 people, and let me know first! :)

Quite frankly one of the most moving experiences ever. Worth ever bite of money i spent on airfare. Her voice was flauless. Still am in a state of ahh. I can't beleive how well everyone performed, especially Matmos. It's hard to think of words to descibe this show other than airtight . The sound was amazing;really enjoyed the stp version of "its in our hands" . Matmos , you guys rock!

Until we meet again, much respect and appreciation goes out to all that help put these shows together.
Thanks again,

My husband and I drove from Phoenix, Az just to see bjork. My husband tried to see her back in 95 or 96 in LA but missed the show and so I bought the tickets because I know she doesn't tour alot. As far as the show goes, We got there about 2 hours before they started letting folks in. We didn't like the hike up to the line, but thought that Bjork was worth a little discomfort. We got what we thought were decent seats until the large group of drunk Ravers squished themselves into the row infront of us. Then poor dear Bonnie Prince Billy came out. NO one knew who he was. they tried to be polite and clap and cheer. no one in my section was booing or snickering, but they weren't paying attetion either. I thought he was good, very poetic and witty. but I think some one like him needs to play smaller more intimate venues so that his music doesn't get lost in the high energy buzz of a Bjork concert. everyone started to cheer wildly when he left the stage thinking bjork was going to come out immediately after. Having read the reviews from the other shows i knew we were waiting for it to get dark. Then she came out dressed in a very bjork like black sequined tutu dress with neon green fluffy stuff on it. Very cute. she started out with some slower quieter songs, kind of warming us up (and probably her voice too). I don't know, but I just expected it to be a much more high energy show. She did give us some faster more upbeat songs but it seemed that just when the show was starting to pick up, it was over. Then I just felt the encore was very setup there was no sort of improvisation at all. Which is what we all wanted, to see a little more of that impish personality we've all heard about. Yes she danced, and yes she did improvise on her singing a bit, but something was missing. I understand it must be difficult to sing the way she does for a long period of time. So anyway, The Voice was magnifecent as expected. don't mean to gripe, just being honest. My husband and I still had a fabulous time in Colorado, and are thinking about moving there in the future,(phoenix is a hell hole after all) So thanks Bjork for giving my husband and I a reason to finally go on a trip together and see some beautiful landscapes! A big THANKS to the cutie in the red scarf and black hat sitting next to us for sharing a smoke! very sweet of you. For those of you headed to concerts in other parts of the country, Have FUN! hope your experience is a little more worthwile then mine.

A question for those of you at this show....
When scatterheart was played did she sing "I just did what I had to do" or "You're going to have to find out for yourself" ?

me and a few friends drove from Houston Tx, 16 hourss or so each way. worth every second i spent stuck in the car. we got to the ampitheater at about 9:30 and stayed in line to get second row center seats. it was sickening how good the seats where. the show was indescribable. there is nothing i can say to explain the beauty... on a side note, when i was in line for seates i was conversing with people around me (bjork fans are the coolest by the way) and they said that there was a rumor that she would be coming to texas. is there any truth to this?

Flew in from Dallas for the show. The last 3 songs of the main set were amazing. My husband was happy to hear "I've Seen It All". I was thinking the girl in the row behind me was reading my mind when she threw her head back and repeated over and over, "I can't believe it's over! I LOVE Bjork! It just can't be over!"

This was a great concert. I attend concerts infrequently. Frankly, I did not know Björk’s music before March, 2003. I know of her but found out about her singing when I rented the “Dancer in the Dark” DVD. When I read Björk was playing Red Rocks, I adjusted my vacation dates to include the 18 August 2003 concert. During the three months until then, I bought used CDs and learned the lyrics.

The concert was the best I have attended in my life– it was my first time at Red Rocks too. I really appreciated Björk’s live interpretations of “I’ve Seen it All” and “Scatterheart”; despite the local Denver newspapers’ misunderstandings. With no male vocalist to help her sing a soundtrack piece (where’s Radiohead when you need them?), “Scatterheart” became quite a challenge. I just hoped she would play this and I was grateful. Whatever one calls it – nerve or bravery, Red Rocks was Björk’s second attempt to play “Scatterheart” live on stage (and in front of the stage).

I had heard all the songs but a couple. The intensity during “Pluto” and the encore song, “Human Behavior” were great. At first, when the background screen was removed, I thought it was the windy conditions. But, the pyrotechnics, the burning trees and the shooting flames/sparks made the outdoor concert work great! It was just nice to listen to the live rendition of the songs, “Hunter”, “All is Full of Love” and “Pagan Poetry”; it was interesting to see how the strings formed the harmony/background. And the way the other artists fill in with their sounds made the songs seem like a story to me.

Listening to music is a struggle for me as my progressive severe-to-profound deafness makes it difficult to hear clearly. I was grateful to hear what I could. As I age, my freaky hearing loss progresses and I need devices to help. I could not really hear the plucking strings, per the newspaper review and I know I would have heard that if I had a good listening device to help clarify the sound. Red Rocks’ assistive listening device system did not work and consequently, it was a struggle to enjoy the concert w/o fiddling with my hearing aids. Two months in advance of the concert, I asked Red Rocks to help. Their devices only produced a static sound. My friend (normal hearing) confirmed the device did not work. I gave up trying to use the ALD during Unravel (after trying to get it to work during the opening act). I just wish I could have heard the ‘little’ sounds that folks have written in their reviews, including the nuances that were included in the local Denver reviews. Someday, perhaps I can attend another Björk concert and hear really well. I wish I could afford to follow the fans and go to NYC or Canada to try to hear more clearly! I wish there was a way to hear all the sounds better as I do at home!

Also, I can’t say enough about the Red Rocks staff. Thank you Stephanie for checking up on us to see if we we’re OK.

My friend Michael and I drove all the way from Minnesota with the sole purpose of seeing Björk, and I had one of the best times of my life. Though I wish that Björk would have had the time and opportunity to do more songs, I was extactic about what I did see. I was glad to have Michael with me, too. Of all my friends, I know that he is the only one that would have enjoyed it as much as I did.

Björk: "A Journey to Red Rocks"

Intro: In reading reviews past and recent, I have noticed how personal the reviews are, as if other than just expressing how the concert was. The writer of the review actually tries to put you in the moment as best they can. Well this is my very personal journey, experience, and graduation of understanding the music as it has never hit me before...I've heard it all. I use to wonder who I could thank for having Björk's music come into my life, and not just her music, but her whole essence. For example, could I thank her parents? Well I could...but birth is either planned or an accident, and Björk and her musical message could never be either. Could I thank Björk herself? But of course I could, and have many times, but words can't express such gratitude of a being so incredibly magical. And of course there are no other music performers that I can think of that have an had an influence on her that is so recognizable... So it had to be "nature", and as we have come to know "nature is ancient". So with all my being..."takk fyrir nature" for the amazing blessing of Björk. Björk, Ég elska Þig...Þú ert vinur minn.

I can remember when the Red Rocks concert was first announced, and thinking to myself this is going to be one special show..."I'm going to see Björk at Red Rocks", the place U2 for some reason made this impression on me as a kid with their video "Sunday Bloody Sunday" video as some mythical and deeply hidden hard to find place. Red Rocks is very mythical… So let’s start with Saturday(8/16/03), got a call from sneex(fellow #bjork chatter) saying he would be coming up to LA from San Diego to meet me, and follow me in his car on the road trip to Red Rocks. Well he arrived that night and we spent much time recording music (various artists), and of course him getting some Björk goodies that he was missing, and also his lodging for the night. Sunday(8/17/03) spent most the day resting for the long trip, as night finally came, we departed for Colorado around 9pm(pst.). It was very dark so the trip wasn’t very scenic until the neon glam of the Las Vegas skyline. Finally dawn would break just as we were connecting w/ the I-70 into Utah, I’ve been to Utah before, but had never seen its natural beauty, and magnificent landscape before. This is when I knew this trip to see Björk was going to be a moment of splendor, the mountains of rocks are immense , beautifully crafted by nature…that at times seeing rocks/boulders are stacked so perfectly balanced, that for a moment one would ponder “a machine had to do that?” Knowing full well it was all nature’s work. Words can’t express the beauty that I saw, only the smile on my face, and the awe in my eyes. Tori Amos said once if you want to know your country, you have to go out and see it, touch, take it all in...you can't fly over places and say I know my country.

Colorado, what a gorgeous state..it has been so long since I have seen the colour green so rich in texture and covering like a blanket over mountains so beautiful that I wanted to stop the car, and just go walking into the forest, and "possibly maybe" find "Isobel". But I was on a mission, and Isobel probably doesn’t care for visitors. As we were going through Glenwood Springs then would begin my worry and tad bit of anxiety, and anyone who knows me…knows Beau is not one for worry or anxiety. There would begin a gentle rain and I thought to myself this is nice. However, what once was gentle began to grow strength, spoke with loud determination in the form of thunder, and made its point with lightening. Though at this point I was not overly concerned, I felt this will pass…then all of a sudden. Someone put the sun in their mouth, everything turned this grayish white colour, and hail began to fall so hard and fast that my view from the windshield and the highway totally disappeared, I was "treading the glacier head" in an SUV, not fun with big rig trucks all around you. So would begin my worry/anxiety now, in a moment all that natural beauty I had seen was of a distant memory now. All I could think is we just traveled 16 hours and if this continues, the concert would surely be cancelled. I had to find a native, so I actually passed Red Rocks exit, and went into Denver to seek knowledge on Colorado weather patterns. I met a very nice, pretty eyed girl in the Dairy Queen, and she informed me that “we usually get this rain/hail around this time, and it’s passes quickly.” So in hearing such words of encouragement, I was once again smiling, and all that was briefly lost in anxiety…was regained again. Colorado people are very cordial, the people I encountered we’re all very helpful, and possessed genuine smiles (*when mouth and eyes come together in a display of wonderful and glorious assurance), thank you Colorado for having this California man.

The venue Red Rocks, as we approached up the dusty roads to park, we were automatically taken by the enormous size of the landscape, the history, and serenity. I also took time to observe the license plates of cars, and how far others had traveled to see this moment, people from as far as Texas, Florida, Iowa, New York, etc. So being the “Foot Soldiers” that we are…we marched up the trail to the giant ramp leading into the amphitheatre. As we were walking up more rain began to fall, w/ thunder and lightening, and I thought to myself…”Matmos should be recording this to in-cooperate with Joga.” Unlike the Hollywood Bowl show, cameras were not allowed, so that hike was made a few times by people having to return their car. We entered, and observed the stage and seating, talk with fellow fans/followers. I remember telling others, we’re in for a real treat, “I have this feeling that Red Rocks has to remind Björk somewhat of Iceland with its rural and rugged landscape, it will pull out that raw energy in her for awesome performance.”, and wow did we ever get that! It was also nice to have people come to me and ask “where did you get that t-shirt?” I was the only one with that particular t-shirt, and to be approached about it was quite nice. Also unlike Hollywood, Bonnie Prince Billy was well received by the audience, LA mentality can use some improvement, present author of this review excluded. One quick note to Hollywood Bowl goers who booed and hackled Bonnie, did you ever think for a moment you were booing her as well? Because of his warm reception by Colorado, I truly believe it made Björk feel good (Björk and I quote “thank you very much, you have been an INCREDIBLE audience”). Just before the show would start, I noticed a really special thing happening, the rain/hail that had so consumed my mentals, eloquently began to pass, the atmosphere was getting lighter, and two suns were shining just for us...we could feel it...the "Big Time Sensuality". My seating in respect to Hollywood was a huge difference, this time I was quite further, but actually wanted and liked having this vantage point. It allowed me to see so much of the people who are moved by her, and the affect it takes on one. To see all of the gorgeouess of Red Rocks and Björk from my view on top this mountain in one looking, and as we all know "creme de la creme is doing two things at a time". In Hollywood being that close, I was very much in awe most of the concert that she was right there, so close...I could almost touch her. And then moment would come, the evening was set..."for the evening we had always longed for". As the audience could see everything coming together, and all the accompanying players were in place. Out would walk Björk, wearing a beautiful black dress, somewhat fluffly in the skirt area, with a turquoise shoulder arrangement garmet off her left shoulder, with matching turquoise stockings and shoes to add to the exquisite assemble that only Björk can pull off. As she has been, she opened with “Unravel”, but there was something quite unique about this version, Matmos most likely added some new sounds to it, which seem to take the song from its original tragic sense to a beautiful closure for this heart that once was “so broken”, or perhaps that’s just a personal feeling on how I’ve become after living the words of that song for so long. Peter (a.k.a “unraveled”) from our beloved #bjork chat room I thought and wish you were there to have witnessed that, easy Peter. After she had performed the first two songs, I leaned over to another concert goer, and said very jokinly "those shoes are kicking her arse, they're soon to come off", and no sooner than when I said it she quickly took them off...don't you love when that happens? Being that she had performed this song in Seattle, I was very much hoping for “Scary”, but it wouldn’t be that night. However, I was ecstatic that “Scatterheart”, one of many of my personal theme songs by her she rocked, and what an incredible blend in the form of three songs…”Desired Constellation>Mouth’s Cradle>Heirloom”. There were some great candid moments as well that reflected how beautiful of a spirit she has, first being as she was singing, someone from the front rows threw a heart-shaped balloon onto the stage that went right over her head like a rainbow which she didn’t happen to see at all… right at that time. A few songs later she would pick it up, observe it and smile and then handed it to Matmos for safe keeping, I bring this up because I know that had mean so much to that particular fan…”she touched something that I had held, and now owns it…”, that has to be great joy to your heart. The other moment would be when the winds began to pick-up, just as “Hyperballad” is beginning, one of the violinist’s sheet music was blown to the floor, and the stand holding it fell slightly. With no rush whatsoever, Björk calmly walks over and assists in the retrieval , and without missing a note with such pose that you can’t buy or bottle…she returns to mic,“we live on a mountain…”, audience is elated. Not only by the fact it’s one of her biggest hits… but by the public display of affection. What I have really come to admire is Björk and Zeena’s relationship, they actually don’t need words to communicate. But that chemistry in “Generous Palmstroke” is unmatched, I now have this dream of my wife to be, walking down the isle to that song, and actually feeling that free with me. As all good things must, the concert concluded, and we tried (I mean REALLY tried) to get a second encore...but quickly got the reasoning as the crew began to pack equipment that..."And I've seen what I need...And that is enough...To want more would be greed"

We said our departing words (*sneex and I that is) and both soon got on the highway, but this time going seperate directions. As I was driving through darkness of what earlier I had seen so vividly, just "pedaling thru the dark currents" reflecting on a moment of pleasure, a gift from time gone forever, and only to now be remembered by us who were so honoured and grateful for time, once again takk fyrir Björk. You have helped to find my blueprint of the pleasures in me, and for that you always hold my highest admiration of anything I have ever known, I am honoured to have you in my lifetime. You have given me so much knowledge on how to appreciate all, I give back the knowledge now to others, and keep the wisdomm prescious in my mind...never forgetting "all is full of love". I love you...I love you...I love, and this time I'm gonna keep it all to myself.

We drove from OKC for the show - and were not let down. She is amazing vocally and visually. I told everyone that we were going to Denver for an "experience." It was. She was totally on that evening and her energy was contagious. It did seem a bit shorter than I had hoped for, and she performed older songs which was good, but I was hyped up to hear It's Not Up to You, Aurora, and Unison. When she left the stage the second time I thought she would hop back out for a last song, but that didn't happen. She is definately worth any trip to see and hear. It was very enchanting up in the mountain, the extreme change in the weather (rain, then shine, even a rainbow before it began!), along with the intimacy of the complex. It seemed to be a better venue for her Vespertine setlist. I saw you in Dallas in '96 and have adored you since '87! You are the best thing to happen to modern music for us. Thanks for giving yourself to us, Bjork. Kiss the baby for us all! ;)

Show was ok - one problem - too short - but that was expected after reading about the previous shows. Have seen her previously with Sugarcubes opening up for U2 on the ZooTv tour and saw here a few years back at The Paramount. Seats were unbelivable, first row but although I admire her professionalism the show was mediocre. The video screens were only used twice from what i saw and the pyrotechnics were minimal compared to the Hollywood Bowl show it looks. Overall i think it was good but coulda been a lot more intense [by the way I have been a devoted Bjork fan since the Sugarcubes days so i do appreciate her and her talent]

honestly,.......words couldnt do this show justice.
and anything i would have to offer has allready been said.

i want to thank derek, andrew, and manny for the rides and the company in denver. it made the trip from austin, tx so much better. and i want to thank bjork, zeena, matmos, the octet, lynn fox, and anyone else who contributed to one of the best experiences in my life.

thanks again.

Can someone tell me how long her average preformance time has been? I'm tying to figure out if I can take the trains from CT to Brooklyn or if I need to drive to get myself home the same night.

Thanks,

Normally at a Red Rocks show if you arrive a little late sooner or later you will still be able to weasel your way into the general admission section because everybody is boppin around and a bit unaware that you've even slipped on in behind them. Alas this was not to be. I staked out the General Admission section ready to make my move once the usual concert chaos ensued but three songs into the set I knew this was a crowd that was too mesmerized to fall for some of those old concert shenanigans. So my accomplice an I staked out a spot about twenty rows back on the side of the amphitheater and settled in. A juniper tree was directly between us and the giant video screen so we had to settle for glimpses of Bjork's projected head through the tree branches. But in a way it made the whole experience a bit reminiscent of the woods in the Human Behavior video and much more memorable than your standard concert experience. Bjork's voice in combination with the brisk wind sent a chill up my spine several times. Being that this was my first Bjork gig and always a bit suspicious of concerts that are heavily based on electronics I knew that either this concert was going to come across as flat and too well rehearsed presentation or one of the most spectacular things I've experienced this year. Luckily for me it was the latter. I was amazed by Bjork's stage prescence for having such an untraditional arrangement of muscians. But then again if I knew anyone could pull it off it would be Bjork and that's why she got my bucks this evening. Maybe Red Rocks will get to host Bjork once again in the next ten years. I know I'll be there.

From the moment I saw the venue, I knew this show would be special. I got into Denver early that morning and was in line at Red Rocks by 10:30am. As if the environment wasn't specatacular enough, the friendliness from every one else in line made the wait all the better. As someone stated in an earlier review, it rained a good portion of the day, but it was amazing to see how everyone worked together to stay dry/warm. The people I was hanging out with found a nice little cave to keep ourselves dry at some points, and people would let me use their umbrellas at other points in the day. They let us in the venue at 5 and we got our spots right by the stage. What an amazing venue! I've only heard stories about how beautiful Red Rocks was, but even then I couldn't imagine how perfect of a place it really is. Bonnie Prince Billy opened with his usual set (a couple different songs this time), and actually did decent compared to some of the past shows. It rained during most of his set, but luckily, right before Bjork came on, the skies cleared up and the stars came out. She did her usual opening for the USA tour (Unravel, followed by I've Seen It All), but she surprised us with Scatterheart right after that. It sounds wonderful live! I've heard them testing the sound for the song at the last couple shows, but hadn't heard her singing to it live until this show. AMAZING! We also got to hear Mouth's Cradle, which is a breathtaking track! Bjork actually used the sampler/machine herself, which is rare to see live, and even though it was short, it was very sweet and left me in love with it. It was great how the song kind of morphed into Heirloom, too! The energy of the crowd last night was unbelievable, everyone was standing, applauding, cheering at the top of their lungs, and even Bjork had to comment on what a nice crowd it was! She seemed genuinely happy to be playing for us there. Of course the rest of the show was perfect, as well. I can't really compare this show to the San Francisco or Hollywood Bowl show because they were all my favorites for different reasons. I'm leaving Thursday morning at 7am for New York and will be at both of the shows there this weekend, so I'm sure I'll find another element that I'll fall in love with their. Thank you for an amazing tour Bjork!!! You are the greatest!

mostresticator - the show began at 8:30 and went until a few minutes after 10. you should've stayed for the encore.

This was such a fantastic show. Everyone has already included more than enough about how wonderful Bjork was, so I'm just going to add one quick tidbit that I really enjoyed. During "Human Behavior", Zeena was dancing around behind her instruments in such a way that she looked kind of like the bear from the human behavior video. I just thought it was absolutely adorable and added to the overall atmosphere of such a wonderful show. Definitely the best concert I have ever attended.

The show was over before I even realised it started. Well OK, I'm exagerating a bit. But let me tell you why I felt like it was really fucking short. Dont get me wrong it was a beautiful concert, perfect weather, scenery and of course perfect venue and artist. I was loving the whole experience. It was the best time i had had in a long time. Me being a writer I just could not pass up the opportunity to write in such a wonderful enviroment, but I had no pen. So I got up to go look for a pen. No one seemed to have any pens, but i got lucky and found one. I started ti head back to my seat and the concert was getting nuts. People were dancing and having a great time. It was great. The music was pounding and everyone was just starting to get into it. I had to wait to write because it was just too much for me to sit down and not watch the concert. So I listened to one maybe two more songs. Then the stage went dark and stage crew began taking down the set and we were being kicked out of the venue. I thought for sure there would be an encore or something, so my brother, my friend and I waited around for a bit longer then decided to fuck it. It was 10 o'clock and we were being sent home. We hopped in our car and took off to find ourselves stranded on the side of the highway after our car breaks down. So now a day later and well over 100 bucks each in the hole and no car, we kind of felt cheated. Now I'm not blaming Bjork for our car breaking down, nor am I blaming her for giving us only half a concert. But I have to say, if you are going to have a show at Red Rocks and a solo artist that no one has heard of wearing orange pants and playing a wierd ass instrument as an opener, you must play a set longer than an hour. But Bjork I must say in that hour you fucking tore the hell out of that stage. I applaud you for that.

/mostresticator - 1256
wow, this was my first bjork experiance definately won't be my last. Everything was amazing and all the songs seemed to have something new and exciting. 600 miles and 70 bucks later i would still pay twice that to see her again....amazing

/furikuri - 1255
A very fine show with Bjork seeming to be in an up mood and looking and sounding just great, GREAT.

Some High Points were:- 1 -Unravel, what a great opener. 2 -Seeing Bjork play the sampler/editor on Mouth Cradle. 3 -Pagan Poetry was a STOMPING STOMP ALONG boom boom boom "he offers, a handshake" power and emotional crying depth, 4 - Pluto's hardcore noise and repeated dissonances, loud and proud 5- HyperBallad, the eternal questions of the sacrifices we make for love sung as if she had never sung it before, 6 - The string arrangement for Scatterheart, 7 -Zeena's soulful and inspired playing, 8 -Zeena's outifit, beautifully asymetrical like her harp, 9 -MATMOS togetherness, new noises in the mix, and cool panning, all in support and properly improvisatory, 10 -The Octet's gorgeous tone, dynamic control, timing and intonation,
11-EVERYTHING ELSE!

I was also at LA Bowl and thought Red Rocks was a better show overall, though both were not to be missed. The big screen projection of her image at RR was a major improvement over LA. I was in the 2nd row in LA and front row at Red Rocks, and from this up-close position, the sound was better at Red Rocks - the highs and midrange were much better, most easily measured by the fact that she (and Billy) were far more intelligible at Red Rocks. Sound was excellent at row 25 at RR as well, which I visited for a couple of songs, but I cannot compare to the Bowl, because I did not listen from further back when I was there.

Also, at Red Rocks, the stage is at the same level as the first row, so instead of looking up at her I was looking straight forward. Much nicer. I was also phyically closer - when she ran to stage front I was 10 feet from her, versus 20 or 25 at LA.

Desired Constellation and Mouth Cradle promise a DYNAMITE ALBUM TO COME! And at Red Rocks (but not LA), we got to see something unique - Bjork hands-on at the board (a sampling/editing device) for Mouth Cradle - very nice indeed.

A little story: I met Bjork's acupuncurist in the restaurant, and asked if she could try to ask Bjork for signatures on my two copies of Um Urnat - she was such a nice peron (Genie is her name) that I turned them both over to her. She returned them to me, unsigned, just before Bjork opened Bjork was of course not at that time (and I rather doubt ever will be) able/willing to sign them, but it was fun trying! ("You mean YOU stuck needles in BJORK?" I joked. The acupuncturist put her mouth to my ear and whispered "I saw her naked!" and we chuckled happily - Genie obviously enjoyed tweaking a fan.)

Here's another cool run in. I met a woman walking to the parking lot afterwards who was unusual in that she was "older". like me. I asked how she liked the concert. "Loved it," she said. "The guide is for my husband, he's a major fan. He directs the drumline for the University of Georgia". "Wow," I said, "I'll bet he digs her polyrhythms." "Oh yes", she said, "In fact he is doing an indoor concert that will be all Bjork music." Now THAT I gotta hear!

A down note - the smoke around row 25 when I stopped by there, and row 8, and probably most of the venue, was just terrible. I was lucky, the front row air was nice and fresh, downhill and downwind from the smoke clouds. The venue allows smoking, but the time will come when smokers will not legally be allowed to toxify the air of others in any public places. On behalf of the tobacco corporations you are supporting as you ravage your health at great expense, I want to thank you for your support of personal freedom at the expense of making others sick. I am trying to "get used to it" as smokers always exhort the sane to do, and I hope smokers will in turn "get used to it" when they are no longer allowed to make everyone sit in stinking clouds of poisonous fumes at concerts and other places non-addicted people also like to visit.

An Up Beat - Bjork appreciated this crowd and they appreciated her. I am proud of everyone for welcoming her and standing for the entire show. It was just wonderful.

THE SHOW WAS PERFECT! i managed to get a seat in the planter right near the stage. i was so much closer than i was at hollywood. the people around me were the kindest kind. i will never forget this concert.
thank you so much bjork; you made my vacation the best ever!!

The sound was unbelievably full and the show was incredibly hot. Bjork summoned the elements and served 'em up to the willing crowd. Thanks all, especially the Drew and Martin MATMOS mix/instrumentation... They kept it bumping and crisp with sound so thick you could chew on it, (and in style to boot).

/briancbauman - 1249
This was my first experience at a Björk concert and it was nothing less than unbelievable. The moment I first heard that beautiful voice of hers LIVE during her opening song "Unravel," I immediately had the largest smile across my face, which to be honest hasn't left yet... and I doubt it will anytime soon. Every song that she sang was amazing, most notably Unravel (one of my favorites), I've Seen It All, Joga, Hunter, Bachelorette, Hyper-ballad, and It's in Our Hands (an incredible remix). I loved the energy her music gave throughout the entire show... the way those last three songs before the encore just built everybody in the crowd up more and more until the last hard beat of Pluto. The only thing that could have made the night better for me would have been more light put on her so that I could have seen her better. Being back in row 32, I was very thankful for the Big Screen so that I was able to see more of her cute expressions, but it was still difficult to see her too clearly with so little light. However, the show was flawless and her vocals were intense as always... by far the greatest concert I have ever attended. The girl behind me said it best, "She is so brilliant!" I think we all agree :) Thank you, Björk, for a wonderful evening.

somehow, rain was of a different form last night. there is nothing else in this world comparable to the sight and sound of this woman. i am still glowing from the night... out she came in all black, except for, of course, her beautiful touch of smashing emerald green... thank you, bjork, for an evening i shall never ever forget.

oh, forgot to add, my friend (who was on the 5th row) got her digital cam in, so not only does she have tons of pics, but little video clips too. i'll share as soon as i get them.

/txjaxx - 1245
well, i can't add much more than what has already been said. thankfully the rain ended before the show started. it was cold, but not that bad. the show itself was excellent. Bonnie Prince Billy was good, although i think his set was just a little too long. but he was nice and mellow and i don't see how people could scream at him. what really struck me about Bjork's performance was her energy and voice. this was my fourth time to see her (twice on the Post tour and last year at Coachella), aside from the DVD shows, and she really delivered with her voice. it sounded so powerful and clear. and she was constantly dancing and moving all over the stage. i liked the videos for Unravel and Desired Constellation - hopefully we'll get a DVD of those someday. i think they decided to take the screen down for IIOH because it became very windy right around then, and they knew more fire was coming for Pluto. it seemed like a safety thing to me. although we didn't get the big fireworks, we had the flamethrowers, big sparklers, and these 2 metal tree sculpture things that were lit on fire and sparkled throughout Human Behaviour. speaking of which, that's not my favorite song when she performs it live, but this time, it sounded really great - i like Matmos's interpretation a lot. all in all, a really great show - wish i could go to NYC.

I had to sit up at the top because of the people we were with, stuff happens like that I guess. I couldn't do much about it. I could barely see Bjork, but damn the sound was so brilliant and she played the greatest set imaginable to my ears. She seemed so excited, happy, grateful and hyper and gave feedback to the crowd telling us we were a "wonderful audience". The encore was great, and she came out and said "I am going to introduce you to everyone because...I have the microphone and stuff."

I'm sure everyone posted the setlists already, so I will make this a bit shorter. :).

We could see Mars to the right, and Bjork in the center. That was awesome. The sky was orange and blue and stayed dry during the whole concert. Amazing.

I think I should just follow Bjork around to her concerts and attend each one, they are worth alot of waiting and she is truly one of the greatest live artists to ever grace the stage.

Thank you for coming to Red Rocks! I hope to see you back again Bjork, you made my ears extremely happy.

11 out of 10.

This show was everything that I hoped it would be! It was simply amazing! Everything from her cute little dances to her very stimulating voice…she was perfect! With all the chills that I received up my spine and the tears that came to my eyes, I have to say that this is definitely a spiritual experience in my books.

You’re the best Bjork, you and your music will always have a place in my heart!

Another incredible performance by Bjork. I went to the Seattle show on Friday and the Red Rocks show last night. I would have to say that her voice sounded clearer and crisper at the Seattle show, but she seemed more connected to the audience at Red Rocks. Also, the addition of pyros and foreworks were nice, but the performance in Seattle was just as powerful without them.
About the Red Rocks show, where was the video for It's In Our Hands? That was a bit dissapointing to see the curtains open up only for the screen to drop. It was still my favorite of the night. What a song.
The crowd was appreciative of every move Bjork made. It was nice to be around so many people who, like me, freak out simply hearing her say 'Sank You' or at the first few notes of Hyperballad.

Thank you Bjork for another perfect evening.

The months of anticipation leading up to the concert at Red Rocks were almost unbearable. I was religiously clicking the gigography, reading every last review from the show the night before and piecing together what I thought would be the perfect Bjork experience. Despite reading so much, studying every picture, and dreaming what the show would be like, I was in no way prepared for the magical experience that I had last night.
From the first notes of Unravel, I was swept into a hypnotic euphoria that I am still hoping does not end. Every note, every expression, every movement was perfect. Bjork was energetic, happy, and passionate. The audience was SO into the show!!!!
There were so many moments of sheer bliss, it is hard to pinpoint my favorites. Joga completely blew me away!! THAT VOICE exploding through the park, with the flames on stage and the clouds in the sky sweeping by...I thought I was going to burst!!! Hunter was fantastic--a total surprise! Her dance was SO much fun!!! Heirloom took my breath away....one of my favorite songs, but I didn't expect to hear it. Desired Constellation was fantastic too.....can't wait for the new album!!!
The setlist was chosen SO well!!! It was a slow-building crescendo to a frenzied explosion...beginning with Bachelorette (which was sung with FIERCENESS), into Hyperballad, then the SPT mix of It's In Our Hands (STILL reeling from that one!) to Pluto....PLUTO!!!!!! It was insane!!!
After reading about Seattle, I was on pins and needles for the encore. What an amazing treat, not only that she came back out, but that we had the honor of having her introduce the musicians and tell us that we were a wonderful audience.
Generous Palmstroke was brilliant. Zeena is a genius!!! Human Behavior was a perfect ending to a perfect show.
What a gift to see Bjork!!! The admiration and respect I have for her as an artist was multiplied by 1,000 last night. I am glad I could share the experience with the person that means the most to me.
Thank you Bjork!!! You have been touched by something extraordinary. I hope you had a wonderful time with us!

One more intersting note. Readers of the Rocky Mountain News (one of the two local papers, which can be found online at rockymountainnews.com) are privy to an entertaining, although grossly misinformed review. The reviewer didn't really seem to like the show, partially because as he claims "Bjork's ...words and concepts don't quite translate" which he chalks up to a cultural thing. I don't think anyone who has actually spent the time to list to bjork has a hard time understanding the wonderfully imagery of her songs. Oh well, I guess we can't all be fans.

/blkhrt - 1237
What a fantastic show, and a perfect venue. It rained all afternoon but instead of putting a damper on the event it instead created a feeling of community as the people who were waiting in line for hours shared umbrellas and trash bags in hopes of staying dry. Right before the show started the sky cleared up and a rainbow came out in the distance. It was a perfect start to the night. Bonnie Prince Billy played a great set and he recieved a better reception than it seems like he has had at some recent shows. Although there were some hecklers in the audience, there were also some real fans, shouting out requests and cheering loudly. As soon as he was done and the stage was set the audience was so excited it was like bjork already had us under her control and she hadn't even taken the stage yet. She opened up with a great version of Unravel, complete with video and went straight into I've seen it all. From the very start it seemed like bjork was having a great time, dancing around the stage (I was surprised to see her wearing shoes when she came out, but they only lasted a few songs) and working the audience, moving from side to side so everyone could see her close. Joga was fantastic and bachelorette was enough to take your breath away. It was great that she played Scatterheart, especially since the show in Seattle was the first ever performance of the song. It was also neat that on the new songs bjork even got involved in the instrumentation, setting down her mike to play what looked like some sort of sampler/synthesizer. Hyperballed was amazing and it seemed like the entire crowd - at least the six rows in front of me, I was too entranced to turn around - was dancing by the end of it. The first set ended with an amazing version of Pluto, complete with all sorts of fireworks at the front and the back of the stage. After hearing about the Seattle show I was a little nervous when everyone left the stage but it was obvious throughout the show that bjork was having a great time so I was pretty sure the we would get an encore. Thankfully, a short while later everyone came back out and bjork took the opportunity to introduce the musicians. As she said, she could do it because she "had the microphone and stuff." After the introductions bjork went over by zeena and played a beautiful version of generous palmstroke that had the audience both silent and then cheering ecstatically. The band then launched into human behaviour and everyone was dancing, especially bjork who was running around the stage and jumping up and down. After the first encore The audience was cheering so loudly and the stage stayed dark for long enough that for a moment it seemed like bjork might come out again but alas, it wasn't meant to be. I am just glad that I only have to wait four days until I get to see her in New York. I tried to keep track of the setlist but after about five songs I was just to entranced by the music to pay attention to the exact order. The show had much more of a party feeling than the last bjork show I saw (two years ago at the Paramount theater in Oakland, which had a much more intimate feeling given the full orchestra and the setting) and the venue was perfect for the atmosphere that bjork created. Hopefully she will come back soon.

Beautiful! Flawless! Amazing! Just a few words to describe this show. This was my first Bjork experience. The last time she was here was in '95. I tried to go but it sold out too quick for me. I can only hope that it doesn't take her that long to come back again. From the time she came out on stage and throughout the show this performance sent chills down my spine and made me smile uncontrollably! I can't wait to see her again. By the way, so far no one has posted an accurate set list. If anyone has it, please post it.

Just got back from the show. It was absolutely spectacular. The dance version of "All Neon Like" was amazing, as was the performance of "Pluto", and well, everything else. Bonnie Prince Billy was right in saying that it would be well-remembered.

It rained all the way up there, but it stopped before the show. Red Rocks is a magical place to see a concert and Bjork filled it with even more magic. The last time she was on this stage it was the late 1980s and she was with the Sugarcubes, all punk rock and whimsy. This time it was gorgeous strings crashing into the fluid electronics of Matmos. The same voice, the same woman from the Sugarcubes, but she's grown so much, accomplished so much, confounded us so many times since then. And the voice has matured and soars in this place between the rocks. I don't have a setlist, I don't keep track of these things. It was mostly drawn from Homogenic and Vespertine. She did Hyper-ballad, which I'll never stop liking, and Human Behaviour. Those were the only old songs and they were unexpected. It started slow, and built into something mesmeric and filled with longing. She danced a lot, smiling. She was in a place of her own making and she brought us there with her. It's a place filled with surprises and sparks, magic and fun. I still haven't recovered from Hyper-ballad and all I can do now is wonder what will be next, where will she take us next time? - Joe

OH MY GOD!! Red Rocks was definitely the best choice for a venue. This was by far the best outdoor performance I've seen Bjork do. The show was electifying and full on tremendous energy. It rained through out the day and then it finally stopped before Bjork went on. She mostly did songs from Vespertine and a bunch from Homogenic. If I recall correctly, she opened with, "I've seen it All" which was totally hot. There were pyrotechnics that were totally insane. I'm not going to go through the whole setlist, but she did a cool version of,"It's in Our Hands" and the last encore ended with, "Human Behavior." Overall, it was a wondrous, spectacular performance that can never be forgotten.

Thanks for a wonderful performance. You've never let me down yet.
