there is definitely a "theme" for each tour , which is partly built on an urge i have emotionally , for example this tour was meant to be festive , happy looking back at 10 years . also mixed in with that is which songs i still enjoy doing and which ones bore me . and then of course i am limited with instrumentation so on this tour i could only do songs that zeena the octet and matmos and leila could do . and then you make several exceptions on top of that like ask the strings to pretend they are choir ( in “unravel” , “pagan poetry” ) and ask zeena to play “síðasta ég” on celeste ... does that make sense ?
